Yang Rui obtained his Ph.D. in Industrial Economics from Fudan University in 2012. He is currently a professor of Industrial Economics and a doctoral supervisor at the Business School of Suzhou University, a visiting professor at the School of Management of Fudan University, a special researcher at the Yangtze River Industrial Economics Development Research Institute in Suzhou High-tech Zone (Huqiao District), and the founder of Bimu Data Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. He serves as an expert on the Digital Ecology Committee of the China Information Association and is a member of the Professional Committee on Industrial Clusters and Regional Development of the National Economic Geography Research Association. He has nearly 8 years of work experience in supply chain management and industrial research and planning in Fortune Global 500 companies, central enterprises, and government departments.
Since 2018, he has served as a peer reviewer for the General Program and Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation, handling anonymous reviews for several CSSCI and SSCI journals. He has led two national projects and four provincial and ministerial projects and has published two academic books. He has published over 40 academic papers in CSSCI and SSCI (FMS A/B/C) academic journals and written more than 17 decision consulting reports, 8 of which received directives from provincial and ministerial leaders. He has led and participated in over 15 government and corporate decision consulting projects. He was awarded the second prize for excellent research and decision consulting achievements in the Jiangsu Think Tank in 2021, the second prize for excellent achievements in philosophy and social sciences at the 13th Shanghai Social Science Awards in the book category, and the first prize for excellent results in the sixth “Suzhou Social Science Applied Research Boutique Project”.
