主要研究领域为儿童文学研究、英美文学研究,同时积极服务国家文化发展战略。目前主持国家级和省部级科研项目两项:国家社科基金中华学术外译项目儿童文学:学科与建构、江苏省教育厅社科基金重大项目跨界儿童文学的改编及传播研究,以及已主持完成江苏省社科基金项目当代西方绘本理论批评研究。在国内外核心期刊发表论文近20篇,其中2篇被收录于劳特利奇和麦克米伦出版社的国际学术专著。学术专著《问题的文学:非虚构文学与批判的儿童》(22万字)的翻译出版进一步拓展了儿童文学研究领域的理论视野。作为活跃在国内外学界的学者,担任多家A&HCISSCI索引期刊的编委和审稿工作,担任多个国内外儿童文学研究学会理事,受邀在多个国际学术会议作主旨报告。同时注重学术成果的转化应用,多次为中小学开展英语文学阅读与教学专题讲座,推动理论研究与教育实践的结合。
